PRP Breast Rejuvenation

A Subtle, Nonsurgical Option

What the Vampire Breast Lift® can—and cannot—do for breast shape, skin quality, scars, cleavage, and nipple sensation

Many women want their breasts to look refreshed—not dramatically larger or surgically altered. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight changes, aging, hormonal changes, surgery, and normal differences between the breasts can affect skin quality, upper-pole fullness, cleavage, scarring, and sensation.

PRP breast rejuvenation, often called the Vampire Breast Lift®, is an in-office regenerative procedure that uses platelet-rich plasma prepared from a small sample of your own blood. The goal is a subtle improvement in selected concerns. It is not breast augmentation, it does not remove excess skin, and it should not be expected to change your cup size.

At Julieth Aesthetics, treatment begins with an individualized medical consultation. Breast symptoms or changes that require diagnostic evaluation must be addressed before any cosmetic procedure.

What Is the Vampire Breast Lift®?

The Vampire Breast Lift® is a trademarked treatment protocol developed by Charles Runels, MD. It uses autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP)—a platelet-rich component prepared from the patient’s own blood—and a specialized injection approach. Depending on the patient’s anatomy and treatment plan, hyaluronic acid filler may sometimes be discussed as an optional addition, but filler is not automatically required.

Platelets contain signaling proteins involved in normal tissue repair. PRP is used in several medical and aesthetic fields, but preparation systems and clinical protocols vary. Evidence supporting PRP in wound healing, scars, and fat grafting cannot be treated as proof that every standalone PRP breast treatment will produce the same outcome.

What Concerns May Be Discussed?

  • Subtle improvement in the appearance of the cleavage or upper breast area
  • Mild differences in contour or asymmetry
  • Crepey-looking or aging breast skin
  • Selected scars from surgery, trauma, or previous procedures
  • Changes in nipple or breast sensation
  • A desire for a natural-looking option without implants or liposuction

These are treatment goals—not guaranteed results. Significant sagging, major volume loss, pronounced asymmetry, a breast mass, skin dimpling, nipple discharge, a new inverted nipple, or other concerning changes require appropriate medical or surgical evaluation.

How the Procedure Is Performed

  1. Medical assessment. Your medical history, breast history, medications, prior surgery, implants, screening history, symptoms, and goals are reviewed. Treatment is postponed when further breast evaluation is appropriate.
  2. Blood collection and PRP preparation. A small blood sample is collected using dedicated supplies and processed in a centrifuge. The platelet-rich component is prepared for your individual treatment.
  3. Personalized mapping. The treatment area is marked according to the concern being addressed. The injection pattern is individualized; it is not a one-size-fits-all procedure.
  4. PRP placement. After cleansing and comfort measures, the prepared PRP is placed into selected areas using sterile technique. If an optional filler component is clinically appropriate, that is discussed separately before treatment.
  5. Aftercare and follow-up. You receive instructions for the first several days and guidance about normal recovery, warning signs, follow-up, and breast screening.

Dedicated Supplies and One Patient at a Time

At Julieth Aesthetics, each appointment is reserved for one patient at a time. Each patient receives dedicated blood-draw supplies, processing components, and sterile, single-use needles or applicable treatment supplies. Your blood is collected, labeled, processed, and used only for your procedure. Supplies are never shared between patients.

Nurse Julieth follows medical infection-control and blood-handling protocols and has specialized training in Vampire® procedures through the Cellular Medicine Association.

Important regulatory wording: use “FDA-cleared” or “FDA-approved” only for the exact product and intended use stated in the manufacturer’s documentation. The Vampire Breast Lift® procedure itself is not “FDA-approved.”

Will It Lift the Breasts or Change Cup Size?

Despite the name, this treatment is not equivalent to a surgical breast lift. A surgical mastopexy removes and reshapes tissue to reposition the breast. PRP does not remove excess skin and cannot reproduce that degree of lifting.

PRP breast rejuvenation is best described as a subtle “polishing” treatment for selected skin, contour, cleavage, scar, or sensation concerns. Temporary fullness immediately after treatment can occur because fluid has been placed into the tissue; that early fullness usually decreases as the fluid component is absorbed.

PRP Breast Rejuvenation vs. Other Options

Option Best suited to Important limitation
PRP breast rejuvenation Subtle skin-quality, scar, cleavage, contour, or sensation goals Does not substantially enlarge the breasts or remove excess skin
Breast implants The largest and most predictable increase in volume Surgery and an implanted medical device; requires long-term monitoring
Fat transfer Moderate volume using the patient’s own fat Requires liposuction; some transferred fat may not survive
Surgical breast lift Significant sagging or excess skin Surgery, scars, anesthesia, and recovery
Skincare/energy treatments Superficial texture or pigmentation goals in selected patients Does not restore breast volume or correct significant laxity

Can PRP Improve Nipple Sensation?

Some patients seek consultation because sensation changed after breastfeeding, breast surgery, trauma, or aging. PRP has biologic plausibility in tissue repair, and clinicians have reported improvement in selected patients. However, high-quality clinical evidence specifically proving that standalone PRP breast injections reliably restore nipple sensation is limited.

Loss of sensation can have multiple causes, including nerve injury, surgical changes, hormonal factors, neurologic conditions, medication effects, and relationship or psychological factors. A responsible consultation should explore possible causes and set realistic expectations. PRP is not a guaranteed nerve-restoration treatment.

What Does Research Actually Show?

Research on PRP is broad, but research specifically on the trademarked Vampire Breast Lift® is limited. The strongest honest message is that PRP has been studied in wound healing, scars, plastic surgery, and as an adjunct to fat grafting. Those findings may inform clinical reasoning, but they do not prove a predictable breast lift, cup-size increase, cancer-prevention effect, or restoration of sensation for every patient.

CLINICAL HONESTY
PRP breast rejuvenation must never be marketed as preventing or treating breast cancer. It does not replace mammography, diagnostic imaging, biopsy, oncology care, or follow-up with a breast surgeon.

Safety, Side Effects, and Contraindications

Because PRP is prepared from your own blood, allergic reaction to PRP itself is less likely than with a foreign injectable material. That does not make the procedure risk-free. Possible effects include pain, tenderness, swelling, bruising, bleeding, temporary firmness or unevenness, infection, altered sensation, unsatisfactory cosmetic result, and the need for further evaluation or treatment.

Treatment may be inappropriate or require additional clearance when there is an active infection, unexplained breast symptom, suspicious lesion, pregnancy or breastfeeding, uncontrolled medical condition, bleeding or platelet disorder, immune suppression, medication that affects bleeding, recent breast surgery, or a history that changes breast-cancer screening or surveillance needs.

Never stop aspirin, anticoagulants, or another prescribed medication without instructions from the clinician who prescribed it.

What If You Have Breast Implants?

Having implants does not automatically make every patient ineligible, but it changes the risk assessment and technique. Your provider needs to know the implant type, position, age, surgical history, complications, and current follow-up plan. Clearance or coordination with your plastic surgeon may be appropriate. PRP does not treat implant rupture, capsular contracture, infection, or implant-associated cancer.

Recovery and Results

Appointments are commonly scheduled for about an hour, although timing varies. Mild soreness, swelling, tenderness, or bruising may occur. Many patients return to routine activities quickly, but exercise, pressure on the treatment area, alcohol, heat exposure, and certain medications or supplements may need to be limited according to individualized instructions.

Any improvement is expected to appear gradually over weeks to months. Duration varies with age, tissue quality, hormonal changes, weight changes, lifestyle, treatment plan, and individual healing. A specific result or “one year or longer” duration cannot be guaranteed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a breast augmentation?

No. It is not intended to produce a major increase in breast volume or change cup size.

Is it the same as a surgical breast lift?

No. It does not remove excess skin or reposition the breast like mastopexy surgery.

Does it hurt?

A blood draw and injections are involved. Comfort measures may be used when appropriate, but sensitivity varies.

Can it correct asymmetry?

It may be considered for subtle contour differences. Marked asymmetry requires evaluation, and surgery or another treatment may be more appropriate.

Can it treat breast scars?

PRP has been studied for scars in other settings, but outcomes depend on scar type, age, depth, location, and treatment plan. Complete scar removal should not be promised.

Is it safe after breast cancer?

A history of breast cancer requires individualized review and coordination with the appropriate oncology or breast-care clinician. This cosmetic procedure does not prevent recurrence and must not delay surveillance.

Do I still need mammograms?

Yes. Continue breast screening and diagnostic follow-up according to your medical team’s recommendations.

How many treatments will I need?

There is no universal schedule. The plan depends on the concern, examination, response, and medical history.

Who should perform the procedure?

Choose a licensed clinician operating under appropriate medical oversight, with training in blood handling, sterile technique, breast anatomy, complication recognition, and the specific protocol.

Is PRP Breast Rejuvenation Right for You?

This procedure may be worth discussing if you want a subtle, natural-looking improvement and understand its limitations. It is not the right choice when your main goal is a large increase in size, removal of excess skin, correction of major asymmetry, or treatment of a medical breast condition.

A consultation is the safest way to compare PRP breast rejuvenation with surgical lift, implants, fat transfer, scar treatment, skincare, or no treatment at all.
